ANDREW DUNN

Blue Bulls Wrestling Club Assistant Coach

HIS Story

Blue Bulls Wrestling Club Assistant Coach Andrew Dunn joined the Buffalo Wrestling staff in his first season as an assistant coach in 2024.

He came to Buffalo from the University of North Carolina, where he served as the wrestling program's Director of Operations.

Prior to North Carolina, Coach Dunn served as an assistant coach and operations assistant with the California Regional Training Center and Cardinal Wrestling Club in Stanford, CA for one year.

The 2019 NCAA Division II National Champion at 285-pounds, Dunn was a three-time All-American wrestler at Kutztown University (PA), also qualifying for the national title bout in 2022. His efforts helped his team achieve their first NCAA top-10 finish and PSAC championship in program history.

During his time at Kutztown, Dunn was a Scholar All-American, two-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Athlete of the Year honoree and was named Kutztown's Male Athlete of the Year three times.

Prior to Kutztown, Dunn began his collegiate career at Virginia Tech, qualifying for the 2018 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships where the Hokies finished 8th.

A native of Bethlehem, PA, he attended perennial power Bethlehem Catholic High School. At BECA, he was an undefeated PIAA AAA heavyweight state champion and high school All-American, ranked as high as #2 nationally as a senior in 2015.

This capped off a 146-33 career that saw him win three PIAA state medals, three District XI championships and two PIAA Team state championships under legendary PIAA Coach Jeff Karam.

Coach Dunn was also an academic All-American, having graduated from KU in 2020 with his undergraduate degree in business management and a master's degree in public administration in 2022.
